According to Barnes, there’s opportunity in wind and solar energy. But with the Inflation Reduction Act estimated to pump an additional $4 billion into the state over the next seven years, Barnes says the time to act is now.

“We want to make sure there is a just transition for anyone employed in fossil fuel industry to have an opportunity if not first dibs in employment in clean energy,” he explains.
