Forward Together Wisconsin is excited to announce its upcoming Geothermal Convening: Unearthing the Impact of Geothermal Technology in Wisconsin. On August 19th Forward Together Wisconsin will invite building owners and operators from across the state to learn why geothermal could be the right fit for a new or retrofitted building. The event which will be held at Sun Prairie West High School, which features a recently installed geothermal system.
In a time of funding uncertainty and the prospects of rising energy expenses, Forward Together Wisconsin’s Geothermal Convening will highlight multiple benefits of geothermal from reducing: energy expenses, maintenance expenses, and carbon emissions. The event will highlight ongoing funding for geothermal to reduce upfront expenses for installing this technology.
While geared to building owners and operators, the event will delve into funding opportunities for local governments, schools, non-profits and churches. Presentations will include insight from industry experts and existing geothermal building operators who will share their experiences owning and operating geothermal buildings.
Attendees may be surprised to learn there are already over 10,000 geothermal facilities in Wisconsin alone.
