Forward Together Wisconsin Fall 2025 Convening

We’re excited to host our second annual Fall Convening in partnership with our co-sponsors* Evergreen Collaborative, Wisconsin Conservation Voices, Green Home Owners United, Congressional Progressive Caucus Center, UndauntedK12, BlueGreen Alliance, Clean Energy Group, and Midwest Tribal Energy Resources Association.

Forward Together Wisconsin will again convene local, state, and national stakeholders in Wisconsin to celebrate climate successes, discuss opportunities for clean energy investments, and collaborate on how we can fight for a cleaner future.

We know that Wisconsin can’t afford to fall behind on climate action–but together, we can continue making the sustainable attainable. Click here to learn more and register for the event.

Climate leaders representing  advocacy organizations, community-based organizations, public schools, county & municipal governments, elected officials, philanthropy, green businesses, labor organizations, and more will engage in robust discussions about how we can meet the current moment.

The convening will provide the opportunity to network with like-minded climate advocates, learn about the latest innovations in clean energy from subject matter experts, gain inspiration from success stories from across Wisconsin, learn about strategies in similarly-situated states, discuss how to hold anti-climate elected officials accountable, and much more.

This one-day convening will be held on Thursday, November 6th, in Milwaukee at the Baird Center, 400 West Wisconsin Avenue.

Our agenda includes:

Plenary Sessions

  • “Meeting the Moment”  Receive the latest updates from experts on IRA program funding, guidance on making the most of what is available and discussion of new opportunities.
  • “Closing the Gaps” Given the current political climate, learn how we can keep momentum for clean energy and continue efforts to make sustainable attainable in Wisconsin.
  • “The Path Forward”  After spending the day together, a closing discussion on how we can take our learnings, ideas, and inspiration from the day to collaborate on a collective call to action for a cleaner future.

Small group panel discussions

  • IRA accountability: A c3-compliant conversation on how we got where we are today, what’s at stake in communities due to reductions in funding for clean energy initiatives, and how we can hold those responsible accountable for their votes through civic engagement, education, and media outreach.
  • Resilience Hubs: Flooding is becoming an increasingly common and damaging issue across the state. Two Wisconsin communities (La Farge and the Bad River Tribe) emerged from record floods, becoming more resilient by installing solar and backup battery storage. This session will discuss solar+battery storage technologies as tools for creating resilience hubs.
  • Sustainability in Education – Hear from project implementers on the many exciting Clean Energy projects happening in Wisconsin schools.
  • Sustainability Opportunities with WI Tribes – Learn how tribal communities overcame challenges to implementing environmentally friendly projects on tribal lands and how these efforts have directly impacted communities.
  • Lessons from other States – Experts from Wisconsin and across the country share innovative ideas, strategies and policy options for a cleaner future.
