Renewable energy gets support from La Crosse area lawmakers as a way to provide jobs

The national Inflation Reduction Act recently passed by Congress is expected to help employment and the environment in the state.

Billings said a shift away from fossil fuels would make the state healthier.

“It’s expected that the clean energy plan will cut air pollution by enough to avoid 100,000 asthma attacks, and nearly 4000 deaths a year,” Billings said.
